Group Governance

Centralized governance of ASIACOM Group by Tokyo HQ

Governance Framework of ASIACOM Group

ASIACOM Group operates across Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines. To maintain consistency, transparency and trust with banks, authorities and partners, governance is centralized under Tokyo HQ (Japan Desk), while Hong Kong functions as the frontline commercial hub.

This page outlines how Tokyo HQ supervises all Desks, how roles are divided, and which basic rules apply group-wide, including AML-based principles that exclude sanctioned countries, illegal cargo and suspicious transactions.

Fundamental Governance Principles

The ASIACOM Group adopts the following high-level principles for governance:

Roles within the Group

While all Desks share the same Group Governance Policy, each location has a clearly defined role:

Internal Controls, AI Governance and Updates

Under Tokyo HQ, ASIACOM maintains internal controls that include standardized approval flows, AI-assisted document checks, segregation of duties, and electronic audit trails for major decisions and cross-border transactions.

AI systems (including the Group AI assistant “Ive”) are centrally managed by Tokyo HQ, using trusted non-Chinese providers and clear internal usage rules. AI is used to support governance and compliance, but final responsibility and judgement remain with human decision-makers.

The Group Governance framework is reviewed at least annually, or earlier if AML, AI or other key regulations change. All updates are issued from Tokyo HQ and applied consistently across Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines.
